The European Confederation of Outdoor Employers (EC-OE) is very pleased to announce the signature of an association partnership with the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA). The EC-OE / ATTA partnership connects two very complementary networks.
EC-OE members, who are small and medium-sized outdoor service providers from all around Europe, are dedicated to delivering outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, kayaking, parapenting, climbing, sailing, mountain biking, scuba diving, horse riding, etc.
ATTA members are passionate adventure travel professionals from worldwide destinations: tour operators, lodges, travel advisors, tourism boards, destination marketing and management organizations, outdoor educators and individual guides, gear companies, and travel media.
The partnership underlines that “The Outdoors” belong to the economic sector of tourism and the more global travel community. EC-OE and ATTA are looking forward to this partnership with the following opportunities for both organizations:
- Networking for the benefit of tourism professionals and association members
- Member access to research and information from both associations
- Professional and customer safety training
- Education and certification
- Pan-European mobility of workers and customers
- Collaboration on environmental policy and sustainability
“By signing the partnership between ATTA and EC-OE, we believe that we continue bringing new opportunities to the European adventure and outdoor travel professionals for business exchanges and best practices. Collaboration with like-minded organizations like these two can enable further growth of the industry and attract more attention to the importance of responsible, active tourism development,” shares Gergana Nikolova, ATTA’s Regional Director, Europe.
